Pilates and Yoga

I am French-Swiss, a mother of two, and lived in the United States and Singapore before moving back to Switzerland and Basel in 2013.

My personal Pilates journey began with a deep longing for movement and to help overcome a congenital hip condition. Pilates soon became a passion.

I received my first certification in 2005 from PilatesITC (Australia). In 2007, I received the comprehensive POLESTAR® Pilates Studio Certification (all equipment). Since then, I have trained extensively with STOTT® Pilates and worked with the TRX® suspension training system. I re-certified with POLESTAR® in Basel in 2012/2013.

Before following my interest in movement and Pilates, I studied pharmacy and worked internationally in the pharmaceutical industry.

I believe Pilates provides incomparable body awareness, strength and balance, constituting an ideal foundation for other forms of exercise.

In addition to Pilates, I started a regular Yoga practice 15 years ago in Asia. I completed formal Yoga training with Power Yoga Switzerland (RYT 200Hrs and 300Hrs) in 2022 and 2024.

Movement, breathwork, meditation, and yoga philosophy are powerful tools to develop and maintain a healthy body and mind.

Yoga

I am a certified RYT 500 Yoga teacher with Power Yoga Switzerland led by Markus Latscha at Exhale in Basel.

I teach Power Yoga, Yin Yoga and private yoga classes. As a substitute in various fitness and yoga studios, as well as in private lessons, I was able to gain wonderful experience in responding to the individual needs of each person. I teach yoga in German.

I came into contact with yoga later in life, but sport and exercise have always been part of my life. When I'm not out in nature with our family dog, I enjoy our 3 grandchildren.

What is yoga for me? Yoga is a philosophy of life, the essence of life.

I have found the answers in yoga to questions that concern me and my everyday life, at work and within the family.

Yoga is about feeling and discovering my body, energy and spirit, finding peace and serenity in the stillness of meditation.

Yoga is all that and so much more.

Yours sincerely,

Diana
